Product Details

This is a wonderful pair of modernist/brutalist earrings signed by Montreal jeweller Guy (Gilles) Vidal.  They are made of pewter and cast as an abstract form.  They are signed with the triple V mark, which was used by Vidal from 1974 until 1976.  Vidal and Robert Larin were two Canadian artisan jewellers who produced distinctive pieces in pewter using the lost wax method, there really is no other product like theirs to my knowledge.  Each earring measures 1” in in height.  They have screw-on fasteners.  The earrings are in very good condition.

Examples of Vidal’s work are highly sought after - he and Robert Larin are two Canadian jewelry designers, active during the 1960s and 70s, who are becoming more and more recognized for their work….this is a very interesting pair, sure to be noticed!
